New Agentic Intelligence capability brings AI agents into every stage of casualty and workers’ compensation claims while keeping adjusters in control of decisions.
SUNNYVALE, Calif. — CLARA Analytics, an AI technology provider focused on insurance claims optimization, has introduced Agentic Intelligence, a new AI-powered claims workforce designed to support complex casualty and workers’ compensation claims from initial notification through final resolution.
Integrated into the company’s CLARAty.ai platform, the new capability assigns specialized AI agents to claims throughout their lifecycle. The agents continuously analyze claim information, identify emerging risks, recommend potential actions, and provide supporting evidence, while human adjusters retain responsibility for claim decisions.
CLARA says the launch represents an evolution from traditional claims analytics toward an AI system capable of actively supporting claims operations.
Rather than simply presenting scores or risk indicators, Agentic Intelligence is embedded within the claim file and evaluates how individual cases change over time. The technology is designed to help claims professionals identify developments related to severity, litigation exposure, fraud indicators, and opportunities for earlier resolution.
“Our agents continuously evaluate how a claim is developing, catching exposure issues before they become a problem,” said Heather H. Wilson, CEO of CLARA Analytics. “Agentic Intelligence gives adjusters an AI partner that can analyze claims information and documents while highlighting meaningful changes in risk and potential resolution opportunities.”
According to Wilson, the platform is intended to connect analytical intelligence with practical claims actions by combining information from multiple sources, explaining the reasoning behind its recommendations, and identifying opportunities for intervention.
Agentic Intelligence provides claims professionals with greater visibility into the information behind AI-generated insights.
Instead of requiring adjusters to manually search through source documents to understand a score or recommendation, the system is designed to provide context about the underlying information, its origin, and its freshness.
Key capabilities include:
CLARA’s Agentic Intelligence is supported by self-learning data pipelines and a proprietary historical dataset containing more than 7 million claims collected over 10 years.
The platform is designed to address incomplete information dynamically rather than relying exclusively on predefined rules. By querying available data in real time, the system can adapt its analysis to the characteristics of individual claims.
CLARA also says its approach reduces the need for manual coding and configuration, enabling claims teams to deploy analytics more quickly and examine data across different dimensions without building custom analytical workflows.
The objective is to allow adjusters to spend less time gathering and interpreting information and more time applying their professional judgment to complicated claims.
Under the platform's model, AI provides the evidence, context, and recommendations while adjusters remain responsible for the final decisions.
CLARA Analytics will showcase its new agentic claims technology at ITC Vegas, where the company is participating as a Gold Sponsor.
The demonstration will take place from September 29 through October 1 at Booth 2825 in Bayside Halls D-F.
On September 30, from 2:05 to 2:35 p.m., CLARA Analytics and Nationwide will also participate in a session titled “Stop Leaving Claims Risk on the Table.”
Mubbin Rabbani, Chief Product Officer at CLARA Analytics, said the company is focused on applying AI to measurable business and financial outcomes rather than technology deployment alone.
“Insurers get turn-key access to an advanced AI workforce backed by robust guardrails and human validation,” said Rabbani.
With Agentic Intelligence, CLARA aims to provide insurers with an AI-enabled workforce that can continuously analyze claims, explain its findings, and assist adjusters throughout the claims lifecycle while maintaining human oversight over consequential decisions.
