New AI solutions target disease management, insurance automation and digital financial services, as the company expands its integrated finance, health and senior care strategy
July 21, 2026 — Ping An Insurance has unveiled a portfolio of artificial intelligence (AI) products and services at the World Artificial Intelligence Conference 2026 (WAIC 2026), expanding the use of AI across healthcare, insurance, banking and payments.
The latest initiatives support the company's integrated finance, health and senior care strategy, with applications designed to improve access to healthcare, streamline insurance operations and enhance digital financial services.
Ping An introduced its first portfolio of disease-specific AI products aimed at supporting patients with cancer and other critical illnesses. The offering combines disease prediction, specialized insurance products and the Peking University Healthcare AI Disease Manager to provide support across diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation.
The disease prediction service is designed to identify individuals at elevated health risk, while disease-specific insurance products extend coverage options to people living with chronic illnesses and cancer. The AI Disease Manager connects patients with physicians, hospitals and rehabilitation resources to support ongoing care.
The company also highlighted the expansion of AI Family Doctor, developed by Ping An Healthcare and Technology Company Limited, also known as Ping An Good Doctor. The service operates through an “AI + Physician” model, offering round-the-clock assistance with consultations, medication reminders, health report interpretation and chronic disease management.
According to Ping An, the AI Doctor supports diagnosis across more than 11,300 diseases and serves nearly 12 million users annually. The broader AI Family Doctor platform reaches approximately 90 million monthly active users.
Ping An Property & Casualty (Ping An P&C) reported achieving 100% AI coverage across its core business operations, contributing to an 80% improvement in overall operational efficiency, according to the company.
AI capabilities have been deployed throughout the insurance value chain, including customer service, underwriting, operations, marketing and administration.
One of the highlighted solutions is EagleX, an AI-powered risk mitigation platform that combines artificial intelligence with Internet of Things (IoT) technologies. It is designed to monitor flood risks, assess catastrophe losses and provide early warnings for natural disasters and other incidents.
Ping An P&C has also expanded automated policy issuance. The company said AI now processes 93% of new vehicle insurance policies automatically, reducing average processing time from six minutes to approximately 1.2 minutes.
In underwriting, AI-assisted reviews have reduced initial assessment times to approximately 1.5 hours while helping improve underwriter productivity and risk interception, according to Ping An.
Ping An Bank Credit Card has launched a new AI-focused credit card offering rewards linked to AI services. Customers can redeem reward points for AI computing resources, providing access to AI applications and related services alongside traditional banking features.
The initiative reflects the company's efforts to connect financial products with emerging AI-related consumer needs.
Ping An has also expanded its Express Service AI assistant, which supports customers across the group's insurance, banking, securities and healthcare businesses through voice and text interactions.
The assistant serves approximately 251 million customers and enables users to access financial services, conduct transactions and process insurance claims.
Ping An reported that average monthly users have tripled over the past three months, while peak daily usage has reached approximately 1.1 million visits.
Ping An's latest announcements highlight its efforts to embed AI across healthcare delivery, insurance operations and digital financial services. The initiatives combine automated workflows, AI-assisted decision-making and customer-facing digital tools across multiple business lines.
Through continued investment in disease management, risk assessment, policy processing and AI-enabled customer service, the company aims to improve operational efficiency and expand access to services across its integrated finance, health and senior care ecosystem.
