Collaboration combines local advertising expertise and AI-powered technology to expand Panda’s e-commerce media platform and support brand engagement

Panda Retail, one of Saudi Arabia’s largest grocery retailers, has partnered with Spike Media Saudi, GoWit’s strategic partner operating locally as GoSpike, to accelerate the growth of its digital retail media business in the Kingdom.

The partnership combines Spike Media’s local market expertise, advertiser relationships and advertising operations capabilities with GoWit’s advertising technology infrastructure. The companies aim to help Panda expand its e-commerce retail media platform, enabling brands to reach shoppers through more automated, data-driven and measurable campaigns.

Scaling Panda’s E-Commerce Retail Media Platform

Panda operates more than 200 stores and reports over 14 million online shoppers and one million monthly active app visits. These physical and digital touchpoints provide opportunities for advertisers to connect with consumers across different stages of the shopping journey.

Through the partnership, Panda plans to expand advertiser participation, manage increasing campaign volumes and advertising inventory, and scale its e-commerce media operations. The integrated platform is intended to support these efforts as the retailer develops its digital advertising business.

Combining Local Expertise with AI-Powered Technology

Spike Media Saudi will contribute its knowledge of the Saudi market, relationships with advertisers and agencies, and end-to-end advertising operations capabilities.

GoWit will provide the technology infrastructure supporting Panda’s retail media platform, including first-party data activation, AI-powered auctions and bidding, campaign automation, and real-time measurement and reporting.

By bringing these capabilities together, the partners aim to establish an integrated platform that can accommodate growing advertiser demand while improving campaign management and performance measurement.

“We are proud to work alongside Panda as a success partner for its E-commerce Media journey,” said Osama Bukhari, CEO of Spike Media Saudi. He added that combining Panda’s digital presence with local market expertise and advertiser relationships would create more opportunities for brands to connect with shoppers across the Kingdom.

Saudi Arabia’s Retail Media Market Expands

The partnership comes as Saudi Arabia’s retail media sector develops alongside the country’s broader digital commerce transformation. According to Grand View Research, the Saudi retail media networks market is projected to grow from USD 554.3 million in 2025 to USD 1.15 billion by 2033.

As retailers explore ways to generate value from their digital platforms and physical store networks, retail media offers brands additional opportunities to reach shoppers and measure advertising performance.

“Panda represents the scale and ambition shaping the next phase of Retail Media in Saudi Arabia,” said Emrah Adsan, CEO of GoWit. He said the collaboration with Spike Media combines technology, local market demand and omnichannel media capabilities to help Panda develop a more integrated and scalable retail media business.

Ahmad Chehade, CMO of Panda Retail, said the partnership would support the retailer’s digital transformation and create new opportunities for brands to engage customers in relevant and measurable ways.
