Omnicom has appointed Christine Gambino as Chief Executive Officer of Omni, its marketing and sales intelligence platform, effective immediately. She succeeds Duncan Painter, who is stepping down to pursue a senior executive opportunity in the United Kingdom.

Gambino Takes Leadership of Omni

Gambino previously served as Chief Operating Officer of Omni, where she oversaw operations for more than 1,000 product and technology professionals working on Omnicom’s marketing and sales intelligence platform.

As CEO, she will lead the continued development and adoption of Omni across the newly combined Omnicom organization, with a focus on expanding the platform’s strategic value for clients and internal teams.

Before joining Omni, Gambino spent six years at Flywheel, leading engineering, product, and data science teams while working on automation and predictive analytics. She also previously held technology and operations roles at Under Armour, UPS, and CasSevern.

Leadership Changes Across Commerce

The executive changes also affect Omnicom Commerce, which was previously led by Painter.

Alex McCord, CEO of Flywheel, will now lead Omnicom Commerce while continuing in his role at Flywheel. McCord brings 15 years of experience in commerce and has focused on combining technology, data, and strategic insights to support sales and brand performance.

Continuing Omni's Expansion

Gambino's appointment comes after Omnicom accelerated the development of the next generation of Omni following its acquisition of Interpublic. The platform is positioned as a shared technology and intelligence resource across the combined organization.

Gambino said her focus will be on accelerating adoption and enabling teams across disciplines to use Omni's integrated capabilities to deliver measurable client impact.
