Dallas public relations agency SPM Communications is expanding its client portfolio and strengthening its services as it continues to focus on helping consumer brands build visibility, connect with audiences, and achieve measurable growth.
The strategy-driven agency has recently added L&L Hawaiian Barbecue, Sunfly, and Puttery to its growing list of clients across the restaurant, beverage, and entertainment industries.
Founded in 1952 in Oahu, L&L Hawaiian Barbecue is known for its made-to-order Hawaiian plate lunches. The brand now operates more than 240 locations across Hawaii, the mainland United States, and Japan. SPM Communications will work to increase the brand’s visibility among consumers while also supporting efforts to attract prospective franchise partners.
SPM is also preparing for the October 2026 launch of Sunfly, a new drive-thru beverage concept making its debut in the Dallas area. The brand will feature a variety of drinks, including coconut and aloe water, nitro lemonades, cold-pressed juices, organic teas, matcha, and nitro cold brew. Customers will also have access to functional additions such as collagen, lion’s mane, and natural electrolytes.
Beyond beverages, Sunfly will offer freshly prepared food items, including matcha-glazed cinnamon rolls, egg bites, breakfast sandwiches, and afternoon snacks. SPM will help introduce the new concept to consumers during its Dallas-area launch.
The agency has also added Puttery, an indoor entertainment concept that combines immersive mini-golf with chef-inspired food and handcrafted cocktails. SPM will provide communications support for Puttery’s 10 locations across the United States, including venues in Chicago, Dallas, and New York City, with an emphasis on generating high-quality earned media coverage.
SPM founder and president Suzanne Miller said the three new partnerships reflect the agency’s interest in working with established brands, emerging concepts, and innovative businesses. She highlighted the importance of storytelling in reaching both consumers and potential franchisees through traditional media and newer digital discovery channels.
Alongside its expanding client roster, SPM continues to develop its GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) capabilities. Its GEO practice uses AI-focused strategies designed to improve how brands are discovered across emerging search and AI platforms.
The agency was recently included in the PR News Agency Elite 120 list for the fourth consecutive year. The recognition highlights PR and communications firms noted for areas such as client impact, innovation, services, workplace culture, and industry leadership.
SPM Communications has experience working with brands across food, restaurants, retail, wellness, franchising, and pet care. Its client portfolio includes established names such as Chuck E. Cheese, Camp Bow Wow, Einstein Bros. Bagels, Utz Brands Inc., and Shipley Do-Nuts, along with a range of emerging consumer brands.
As the communications landscape continues to evolve, SPM is expanding its traditional PR capabilities while incorporating influencer marketing, franchise development, crisis communications, and AI-driven brand discovery into its broader strategy.
