Company earns recognition for Best Buy-Side Programmatic Platform and Best AI Tool for BlockVantage
Blockboard, an outcomes-focused advertising technology company working to improve trust, transparency and efficiency in digital media, has been named a finalist in two categories at the 2026 Digiday Technology Awards:
Best Buy-Side Programmatic Platform
Best AI Tool – BlockVantage
The Best Buy-Side Programmatic Platform nomination marks the third consecutive year Blockboard has reached the finals in the category. The recognition follows the company’s 2025 win and adds to its continued presence among notable programmatic advertising platforms.
Blockboard’s industry recognition also includes a 2024 Digiday Technology Award for Founder of the Year, presented to CEO and founder Matt Wasserlauf. Together, these honors reflect several years of recognition for the company’s technology, leadership and efforts to address challenges across digital advertising.
“To be recognized by Digiday for a third consecutive year, and in two categories, is an incredible honor for our entire team,” said Matt Wasserlauf, founder and CEO of Blockboard. “Winning Best Buy-Side Programmatic Platform last year validated our approach to building a more transparent and accountable advertising ecosystem. This year’s recognition of both Blockboard and our BlockVantage AI campaign tool shows that we are continuing to innovate while staying focused on what matters most: helping marketers eliminate waste, reach real audiences and generate stronger results.”
Blockboard has also been named a finalist for Development of Verified AI Media, recognizing its approach to combining artificial intelligence with technology designed to provide greater transparency and verification.
The company’s platform helps advertisers plan, execute and measure campaigns across connected TV, online video, display, mobile and audio. It is designed to provide marketers with greater visibility into how their advertising investments are being used.
Blockboard says every impression purchased through its platform is pre-validated to help verify that a real person is behind the view. The company’s approach is intended to reduce exposure to advertising fraud and wasted media spending while helping marketers direct more of their budgets toward real audiences and measurable results.
The second finalist nomination recognizes BlockVantage, Blockboard’s AI-powered media planning and campaign activation platform.
In its first year, BlockVantage has been named a finalist for Best AI Tool, marking an early industry recognition for technology designed to simplify the traditionally complex process of developing and launching digital and streaming television campaigns.
BlockVantage allows businesses to create media plans, identify target audiences, develop creative and activate campaigns through a streamlined workflow. By simplifying access to advanced advertising capabilities, the platform is designed to make media technology more accessible to businesses that may not have the time, expertise or resources traditionally required to manage complex campaigns.
The two finalist nominations highlight different aspects of Blockboard’s broader focus: providing enterprise-level programmatic advertising capabilities while making advanced media technology easier for businesses of varying sizes to access.
The Digiday Technology Awards recognize companies and platforms contributing to innovation across advertising, media and commerce. Winners of the 2026 awards are scheduled to be announced on September 22, 2026.
